BTCUSDT: Bitcoin / Tether price chart
Inspect the Binance spot BTCUSDT chart, compare timeframes and understand what the quote measures. Figures come from TradingView; check the provider timestamp and data status before relying on a price.
What does BTCUSDT mean?
BTC is the base asset and USDT (Tether) is the quote asset. The number is the amount of USDT quoted for one BTC. This page shows the Binance spot market, rather than a perpetual futures contract. An exchange quote is not a guaranteed execution price.
Bitcoin: context beyond the chart
Bitcoin uses proof of work to secure its transaction history. When comparing BTC prices, keep the exchange and quote currency fixed: BTCUSD and BTCUSDT do not represent the same quote asset. Bitcoin trades beyond stock-market hours, so weekend moves can happen while equity markets are closed.
Read this market consistently
- Use the same exchange and spot instrument for comparisons.
- Check whether the candle is still forming. This chart uses UTC; a daily candle can differ from one configured in local time.
- Compare volume over equal periods. Price change and volume describe past trading, not a forecast.
- Account for fees, spread and slippage separately from the last quoted price.
Is USDT the same as a US dollar?
No. USDT is a token designed to track the dollar; it carries issuer, reserve, liquidity and depegging risks. A USDT-denominated result is not automatically the same as money held in a bank account.
Does this page provide a buy or sell signal?
No. This is a chart and educational reference. Crypto prices can move sharply and you can lose capital. Verify important information with the exchange and project sources.
